Take a tour of the house
We hope La Maison de Promery will be a home from home for your holiday. It’s a typical “maison bourgeoise savoyarde” on three floors and sleeps up to 10 guests.
The living/dining room is bathed in sunlight throughout the day and has captivating mountain views. It leads to a sunny front terrace and fully equipped, country style kitchen, with gas hob, oven, microwave/combi oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer and a generous supply of cookware and utensils.
We provide a choice of cable TV, with French and international channels, or the main British channels (BBC/ITV…), together with a DVD player, an MP3 docking station, free unlimited high-speed Internet access and telephone calls within France. There is also a small selection of DVDs, books for various age groups and some “rainy days” board games. All bedding, household linen and towels are also supplied free of charge.
As you enter the flower-filled village and see the horses grazing in the fields outside, you will find the house with its private parking for two cars in the stone courtyard. There is plenty of scope for finding your favourite sunny or shady spot in the leafy gardens, or on the front or back terraces, which are well-equipped with garden furniture and a barbecue. The mountain panorama from the wooded area at the top of the garden makes it a perfect place for an evening aperitif, watching the sun set over Annecy.
Upstairs there are two spacious family (triple) bedrooms, the first with a King-sized double and a single bed and stunning alpine views to wake up to. The second has a double and single bed and a pretty outlook over the garden. We can provide additional travel cots or a child’s mattress for either of these rooms. The family bathroom is on this floor with a corner bath, shower cubicle and separate WC.
On the ground floor, there’s a second WC with a double bedroom opposite that has a choice of twin beds or a “Superking”, if preferred, also with a garden view. You’ll find a comfy double futon in the fourth bedroom in the basement studio, with an en-suite shower room and fully equipped laundry. The additional flexibility of the basement plus a further double sofa bed in the lounge makes this a practical house for two families or several couples to share. Beds are of the highest UK specification, with brand new, high quality mattresses that guarantee you a supremely comfortable night's sleep!
